On the doorstep of the glorious Yorkshire Dales, our stay at Warner Nidd Hall will encapsulate the highlights of the local area. We visit Wharfedale and the lovely village of Grassington, along with the larger towns of Skipton and Harrogate. If that is all too much, the hotel has plenty more to keep you entertained!
We make our way north to Yorkshire, making ample comfort stops along the way. The aim is to arrive at Nidd Hall by late afternoon, with plenty of time to get ready for dinner and the evenings entertainment!
Today we head to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, starting in the busy market town of Skipton. Continuing on, Wharfedale is a short drive to the splendid village of Grassington with its cobbled market square and delightful shops and cafes. Our last stop of the day takes us up on the dales with lovely views across Nidderdale before we descend down to another lovely village, Pateley Bridge.
You have the option of doing a half day excursion today, or visiting both Harrogate and Knaresborough. This morning we visit Harrogate, with time to spend exploring the towns gardens, pump rooms, Aunt Betty’s tea room or just enjoy the atmosphere. After a short stop back at Nidd Hall we visit picturesque Knaresborough with castle ruins, market square and lovely River Nidd views.
A full day today as we head for the City of York. You could visit the famous Railway Museum, York Minster, The Shambles, Jorvik Viking Centre, or just enjoy walking around the beautiful city.
We return home today, with stops along the way for refreshments so you are home by the late afternoon.
