We’re excited about this interesting tour to the West Country with a cruise on the Grand Western Canal, a trip on the West Somerset Railway, along with a trip to the Quince Honey Farm!
We travel down to Devon leisurely, with an interesting stop enroute to stretch your legs. There will be plenty of time to settle in before dinner.
We have a morning free in Tiverton before a gentle cruise along the Grand Western Canal by horse-drawn barge. During the journey, you will hear some tales about the canal and often there is a minute’s silence so you can experience the true peace and tranquillity of travelling by horse-drawn barge. Tea and scones will be served on the journey.
Join the West Somerset Railway, Britain’s longest steam railway, at Bishops Lydeard for a scenic ride through the Quantock Hills to the resort of Minehead. You will have time to explore in Minehead, before continuing our journey over Exmoor back to the hotel.
Today we have a tour of the delightful villages of Devon. We head north to the market town of Barnstaple with an interesting stop at the Quince Honey Farm enroute.
Sadly we travel home today, making a stop enroute to arrive home in the late afternoon.
