Warner Home Lacy is a short drive from the cathedral city of Hereford. Home to one of the UK’s more famous regiments – the Special Air Service. Surrounded by beautiful countryside including the Wye Valley, you will see stunning views as we tour the area. Why not treat yourself this autumn?
We travel west breaking our journey in the elegant spa town of Cheltenham, heading onwards after lunch to Holme Lacy. Arriving mid-afternoon there is time to explore before dinner and the nights entertainment!
Our first stop is at the head of the valley in Ross on Wye. We travel south, then north following the River Wye, its a picturesque drive. Stopping for lunch, we continue onwards to see a rare bridge in Monmouth before returning to the hotel.
Today we visit Hereford, with its friendly market town atmosphere. Shopping is excellent with many independent shops in the historical centre as well as the adjacent Old Market. You could also visit The Cider Museum or visit the Hereford Museum.
Sadly we travel home today, making a stop enroute to arrive home in the late afternoon.
Warner Holme Lacy is one of the most popular hotels in the Warner collection. A Grade 1 listed Georgian manor house, it has original plaster ceiling and furniture dating back to 1674. With a lovely countryside setting it is also near many attractions.
